Port Washington

Residents of Port Washington take great pride in the North Shore village they fondly refer to as “Port.” There’s much to love, from the abundant waterfront dotted with marinas, to the eclectic shops and restaurants along Main Street, to the spirit of community and volunteerism among residents. Bay Walk Park, a walkway with greenery and sculptures along Shore Road, is perfect for strolling. There are co-ops and senior housing, houseboats and mansions. One-of-a-kind shops and fine dining, as well as a live music venue, Landmark on Main Street, and the Port Washington Library. It is also the terminus of the LIRR’s Port Washington line, coveted for its direct, speedy service into PENN Station and Grand Central Madison.
